Imad Khafi – Master Coach & Waterman
Imad has been coaching for more than 29 years, he was originally trained, certified and graduated under the guidance of surfing legend Tom Carroll in collaboration with Quicksilver. He spent years along the coast of Morocco teaching and coaching students including his son and international champion Soulaimane, who also competes on the WSL & GKA World Tour circuits. Which goes to show Imad’s talent as a coach in both Surfing and Kitesurfing. In his personal life, he has more than 39 years of experience in watersports, including surfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, fishing, and diving. A complete waterman, deeply connected to the ocean, with strong expertise in powerboat navigation and the transmission of ocean knowledge and experience. A professional, humble, and passionate ocean lover, also practicing and teaching Surfers’ Yoga.
I can personally testify his coaching abilities from my own experience working with him in the past. It was Imad who taught me the proper breathing techniques in order to paddle out in bigger waves, and other more advanced techniques in order to progress my surfing abilities for larger swells.
Charaf Eddine Benjelloul
Charaf Eddine was born and raised in Essaouira. Started surf lessons at 6 years old during his summer holidays then a few years later, he started to compete around Morocco. This experience expanded his surfing abilities by navigating different surf spots, types of waves and other various challenges. He formally studied economics & hospitality thus leading him to start Comesurfing business as well as The Rooftop Essaouira, an accommodation experience in Essaouira. He works hard everyday to make it successful and satisfy each client. His dedication to his business and clients is demostrated through clear planning, organization and patience. He uses this patience and experience with all his students. He teaches surfing, kitesurfing and wingfoil at Comesurfing.
