First off, this is not a paid advertisement and I have no affiliation with this brand, it was a personal purchase that even after a year I am still so happy with my purchase I want to share with readers. This product has become an essential travel accessory and almost daily use for my surfing, kitesurfing, gym and beach needs! Not only do I love my travel bag, I love the fun design and mission of the company. The founding ladies and their brand mission are the ones that inspire me to continue to share stories and brands online.

Aloha Collection Mission: To encourage travel, adventure, healthy & active lifestyles, and to share ALOHA.
Aloha Collection was founded by Heather Aiu, a Kauaʻi native and flight attendant Rachael Leinaʻala Soares in 2014. Their passion for travel, adventure and the ocean was the inspiration to the creation of ALOHA Collection much like what inspired the creation of Sustainable Surfer Girl. After celebrating a decade together their brand has now become a global brand.
I was flying to New York to visit a friend and I tend to spend a lot of time in airports considering I travel every few months, so I get comfortable and tend to do some shopping in Duty Free, which sometimes is a blessing and a curse. However, I wasn’t planning to spend any money but when browsing the books in La Guardia airport, this colourful surfer like, cute merchandising setup grabbed my eye! I loved the fun designs and bags, I wanted it before I even knew what it was! lol.
After grabbing one of the bags I thought, oh man I don’t need another beach bag and that price, which was reasonable, I thought, I could spend it on another surf adventure or put it towards a kitesurf harness instead of yet another travel bag. But after checking out the smaller pouches then realizing the fabric properties and the property features I was like this is exactly what I need!
Water resistant fabric that keeps dry and wet separate
Mold resistant technical fabric that’s easy to clean
Heavy duty zipper closure
Lightweight and easy to pack
Great for toiletries, makeup, swimsuits, gym clothes, wet towels
Can be used as a fun clutch – no drinks spills on your phone!
Keep travel bags, backpacks, carry ons and purses organized
Fun playful designs that make you smile
Fashionable, trendy and cute!
While the bag isn’t water sealed and doesn’t keep water out of the bag, it’s coated finished fabric and heavy duty plastic zippers keep my wet items or liquids from potentially damaging my electronics and laptop when traveling or even just to and from the beach. It’s perfect for my daily workout or surf routine before I start working. I can throw my swimsuit in my Aloha Travel Pouch before heading to the surf shop with just my laptop bag and no stress over multiple bags or using plastic bags to separate my wet from dry items.
It is also great for carry on short trips or surf trips when I only have a few items in one bag or suitcase so I can keep my dirty laundry there, wet bikini, liquids and gels or whatever else I want to separate from my regular items. I also became one of those OCD packers with cubes and show bags. When you live life on the constant go these are lifesavers for mental sanity when work, flights and daily life are thrown at you non-stop.
Fun Designs and Quality Workmanship
I want ALL of Aloha Collection, all of their products and design collections are so fun, beach inspired and surf ready. The quality of their products are hands down awesome and that is coming from someone who has worked in the manufacturing industry for almost 20 years in both design and quality control.
While yes you can find similar products in sporting good stores or grab a cheap throw away bag from a bargain shop, I find investing in pieces from mission brands like Aloha Collection, not only help reduce pollution, overproduction and overconsumerism but they also give back to the community, environment and provide a product you fall in love with. Buying quality over quantity really makes a difference on a large scale even in small scale choices.
