Today on a much needed beach walk, I desperately missed the water. While I’m putting health and safety first, waiting impatiently for the nerve damage in my face to heal before I go back in the water. No boxing, no kiting or surfing, focused on work and clients…they say all work and no play makes Susan a crazy person… or something like that. It only takes a camera roll purge to realize how blessed and yes in some ways very lucky.

Life always has its challenges, work + travel can be exhausting. But yes, it is amazing and taking the leap into unstable ground is exactly how you build the life you dream of.

Just do it.

Since March I have been non stop, all blessings even in disguise. After my recent kite injury, I was forced to stop some of my favourite routines, like boxing and even restraining from surfing and kiting…two major passions in my life. After securing a few great clients, I made the decision to come back to Morocco and (Inshallah) stay. It’s been a crazy busy past month without even getting much work done between travelling to Canada, taking care of some admin, visiting family and friends…making some long term packing and returning to Morocco with a pitstop in Spain.

Forever grateful to my family and friends who host me and remind me the real importance in life. Living and loving. My good friend in Spain took me with family to visit a new location I haven’t explored. The fresh experience is what makes traveling so special. To meet the unfamiliar, learn another history, explore new terrain and see new places. Being nomadic all my life has blessed me with new work experiences, learning about culture and languages. And most importantly, exposing me to new perspectives. Life can be so challenging even in a stagnant moment. Sometimes all we need to appreciate our routines is a fresh perspective. And let’s not forget empathy for those who challenge our beliefs. 2 sides to every coin.
