Last winter I found a new love for the city of Mar

Last winter I found a new love for the city of Marrakech. Although I haven’t been able to explore too much of the Atlas Mountains, it is devastating to see how many communities lost their homes and loved ones. I have shared a few organizations in my stories, that I quickly found helping to aid in the urgent needs of these people.

Always open to suggestions of organizations that help get the necessities to those in need and if anyone seeing this currently in Morocco donating blood is a way to help as well.

As a another summer closes, I tried to beat the heat wave in the river yesterday. While my surf session was disappointing it was a great way to spend the last long weekend walking along the St. Lawrence in the sunshine. Cooling off with some local ice cream while taking a break from the long walk and the 30 degree humid weather. It was appreciated after the many rainy days this July and a lack of surfing. While river surfing doesn’t quite measure up the ocean surfing, I do love the community cheering you on from the shorelines, chatting in the lineups about past and future surf trip adventures. Getting me excited to plan the next winter adventure to the ocean coastlines.

It was a busy weekend in Montreal, but I did manage to catch the tail end of the Men’s finals at @jackalopefest on Sunday evening. Big props to all the competitors and organizers to putting on another exciting event. I can still remember over 7 years ago helping a friend with his skateboard booth when Jackalope was still in its infancy. Pretty awesome to see where it’s at now!

Tonight I quickly stopped by Montreal’s @madfestivalofficiel happening in Place des Arts this weekend in Montreal.

It’s been awhile since I have gone to the festival and always a pleasure to be reminded the excitement of a fashion show.
Love seeing the passion of new emerging designers!

This time I was more excited to meet and chat with some of Quebec’s talented designers, artists and small business owners producing some locally made, designed and eco friendly products! While I wasn’t planning on doing any shopping it was hard to resist some fabulous scents and travel goodies.

It is not some exotic or breathtaking landscape, but Verdun and the LaSalle area has been a pleasant spot to spend my summers.

A quick metro ride to downtown Montreal while maintaining a small village energy. While I wouldn’t agree with the blogger claiming Wellington Street being “the coolest street in the world” , it does have a great vibe to enjoy a glass of wine or sip coffee.

I love that I can surfskate beside the river on the smooth bike trails. Or walk to Vague a Guy to surf the constant wave. Overall, it has a great quality of life for summer city living.

Starting and ending in Marrakesh, I spent my winte

Starting and ending in Marrakesh, I spent my winter around Essaouira, Imsouane and other secret spots in Morocco. While I didn’t get in a ton of writing, I did manage to get in some kitesurfing, surfing and visiting some of my favourite and new spots in Morocco. In between an ankle injury, physio, running, reading, shooting, working, relaxing and eating well I was reminded why Morocco was the place I fell in love with surfing and altered my life to surround myself with it. Grateful to get in a ton of sun and waves this winter. With fresh inspiration to write about…some new ideas and maybe even a travel guide to share! Stay tuned!

After a long delay, it has been so wonderful to co

After a long delay, it has been so wonderful to come back to surf and continue learning to Kitesurf in Essaouira, Morocco. A place I still consider home.

This trip has brought many emotions along with it, as I have many wonderful memories of this city along with some challenging ones. The Essaouira vortex as I call it, the ability to suck you it in with its charm, spin you around in some adventures and spit you out only leaving you to come back for more. But it is the people; the locals, the tourists, the entrepreneurs, the expats...a blend of chaos finding community.

I love walking the quiet calm streets of the city while the sun rises or walking through the Medina.

Looking forward to spend some quiet time between work and play to write more, shoot more, surf more and do a few updates to the blog.
